Waterproofing draw pits and cable ducts
Waterproofing draw pits and cable ducts that house power connections or data cables, for example, prevents these cables coming into contact with water. This reduces the risk of outages or damage to electrical or data infrastructure in the event of a flood.

You can waterproof draw pits by using waterproof covers and waterproofing any openings in the manhole. You do this by installing sleeves around cable openings or by sealing off cable ducts with sealant.
