Flood damage insurance is not general practice in the port.

There are some insurers in the Netherlands that provide specific policies for flood damage.

  • Applicable to land, buildings, utilities, products, goods, factories, installations, vessels, mooring facilities, infrastructure and equipment;
  • Crisis management;
  • Emergency plan measure;
  • Major investment;
  • Prevents economic damage;
  • Applicable at all flood depths.
