Shorter travel times due to new Maasvlaktehopper timetable
Reading time: 1 minute
As of 9 December, the Maasvlaktehopper has a new timetable. The new stops and routes provide shorter travel times to and from Maasvlakte and Europoort. The Maasvlaktehopper now runs between Maassluis Centre, Maasland viaduct and Rugge bus station in Brielle and various stops along the Maasvlakte and Europoort. These journey times reflect the working hours of shift workers and office workers at the port.
Starting 9 December, bus lines 102 and 105 will run via the Maasdelta Tunnel, connecting Voorne-Putten & Rozenburg with Schiedam, Vlaardingen and Maassluis. Driving to Schiedam via the Maasdelta Tunnel and Holland Tunnel will significantly reduce journey times for many travellers, especially those heading to the centre of Rotterdam.
The changes in a nutshell:
- Vlaardingen Oost stop discontinued;
- Maassluis Centre and Maasland Viaduct stops added;
- New bus line 102 runs between Schiedam and Brielle. Line 102 runs via the Maas Delta Tunnel on weekdays from 06:00–19:00 hrs. During rush hour, Rockanje–Oostvoorne–Brielle–Schiedam (Central station). Off-peak via Brielle–Schiedam (Central station)
- Line 105 runs along route Spijkenisse–Botlek–Rozenburg–Schiedam. Line 105 runs from 06:00–19:00 hrs. Line 115 can be used in the evenings and weekends. In off-peak hours between Rozenburg and Spijkenisse, this line now runs only twice an hour, as new travel options to Schiedam have been added,
