Flying Swans is working on various developments for cold-chain logistics in this corridor, such as the transport of reefer containers to the port by train, and the development of consolidation centres for fruit, vegetables and flowers at key logistics hubs.
In its projects, Flying Swans collaborates with regional partners, local authorities and Dutch companies.
As the main European import harbour for fruit and vegetables, the port of Rotterdam is eager to make its services and infrastructure available to promote these initiatives and to push sustainability within the logistics process.
